Brent Elementary School Mural
As a Museum Studies magnet school, Brent Elementary strives to include arts education and appreciation activities into its everyday curriculum. Every student at the school literally “lent a hand” in the painting of this mural, which features a vine-like pattern of children’s handprints across an abstracted landscape of DC’s National Mall. The mural is a centerpiece of the school’s renovated outdoor play area, which also includes butterfly and rain gardens.
