Our Projects

Multi-School Mural

Over a week-long session, high school students from St. Albans School and the National Cathedral School assisted City Arts in directing younger students to work on a collaborative mural.  The older students also led groups in sessions involving sketching, journal-writing, Internet blogging, and video interviews.  The result was a multi-media experience that explored the students' reflections on their school and their communities, which were visually translated to the five-panel mural.  The mural was painted at the Arts and Technology Academy Public Charter School and involved the participation of students from Brent Elementary School, both located in Southeast Washington, D.C.
